Our Story

Transformation, Impact and women empowerment are few of the key factors that led the creation of Razafindrabe Collections. The majority of Madagascar’s female population is either farmers or handcraft makers. There are plenty home makers who are not employed, unable to make ends meet or send their children to school. These mothers are seasonal employees, so when the rice farming season is over they make cheap quality handcrafts to sell at the market. However, because of the poor quality, there are few chances for them to make sales.

Razafindrabe Collections exists to help those women by transforming their skills into beautiful products while preserving the culture. Behind every product there is a story, behind every story there there is a whole family grateful because you have supported them.

Razafindrabe Collections was founded by Jenny Rasija, a Young Malagasy entrepreneur that is passionate about arts, community development and women empowerment. She started being involved in handcraft in 2010 along with some family members. Before she founded the company, she travelled around different countries in Africa doing social work. Her trips reignited her passion for handcraft and she decided to raise the bar and created Razafindrabe Collections in 2016. As a social activist, she has become an advocate for these artisans, not only is she committed to provide a better future to the handicraft makers but also to their whole family.
